I spent two weeks this summer living in the great northwest celebrating my mom's college roomate's wedding. Susan and Matt married in Anchorage, Alaska and instead of doing the traditional tea parties and luncheons that pre-wedding festivities usually entail, we hiked. Mom spent a lot of time in New Hampshire's White Mountains, but these climbs were no joke - especially with me on her back. The wedding was spectacular. Mom was a bridesmaid. As you can see, she never looks too beautiful to swing me around.
