There have been many times since birth where I considered this world pretty strange. Fistfights on ice skates, late night dance parties, classic novels turned into animatronic robot depictions with fat men in red suits at the end, but what I saw on New Year's Day takes the prize. Philadelphia has a tradition where intoxicated men dress up in sequined dresses or clown outfits and "strut" down Broad Street playing banjos early in the morning. Grandmother joined my parents in helping me explore this phenomenon, which incidentally allowed for a car-less Market Street. The pictures don't really do it justice, but here they are -
