When I was in my mom's belly I spent the whole time in this thing called a placenta. It is basically a cocoon that keeps me nourished and helps me grow. I feel a special attachment to my old world and wanted to give it a home in my new world. Given my love of all things arbor, I decided to plant it under a Japenese maple in the yard my mom grew up in. Actually, I was more of a supervisor. Dad dug the whole with Pop-Pop, and mom and Nanny gave it some watering love. Camille was on hand in case any of us turned our back on her.
